"Great location and facilities. The view from the main pool is spectacular and the staff are friendly and very accommodating. The hotel offers a range of complimentary activities and the surrounding villages have a range of good little local restaurants and cafes. "
"The room itself was actually really nice but everything else was terrible. There is no front desk to check-in. You show up at some old vacant building and have to walk a 100 yards down to the main buildings. In building 2 there is a small desk but the lady didnt know why we were there and told us we had to call the # on the reservation from Expedia. We called multiple times and the call wouldnt connect. We walked around for 15 minutes trying to figure out where to go. Then some lady that was out front of one of the buildings came up to us and asked us why we were there and then said she could check us in. Our first night we had no hotwater, we had to take cold showers. Then the next day we came back from a long excursion and still no hot water. We called and messaged the lady multiple times and she finally sent someone to fix the hot water. 5 minutes after the guy left, the water line in the bathroom exploded and the whole bathroom flooded! I had to find the water valves to shut the water off. The water line was under the bathroom sink so It soaked me when it blew up with cold and steaming hot water. I called the main number multiple times and sent several texts and nobody responded for over an hour! I then called Expedia's customer service and they attempted to call the number as well and no one would pick up. About 1.5 hours later someone came to replace the broken hose then left without cleaning up the water. We asked for a refund two days ago and still no response."
"I stayed in The Chiang Mai Riversid Hotel from 30 Nov to 03 Dec 2025 the hotel is Great Thai Hotel, Highly complementing the staff at this hotel, they are welcoming, sincere, formative, attractive and attentive and helpful. They beyond excellent, they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They took great care of us throughout our visit. The service made our experience feel warm and comfortable. The breakfast was great, a lot of food and good variety. Room was great and fantastic. The bed was firm, and the pillows were relatively comfortable. The only comment is that the bathroom was dark and the shower area too small, recommend to install rain fall shower instead of normal shower. If I get the chance to go back to Chiang Mai, I would 100% stay at this hotel again. Well done, team, keep up the good work"
"Cheap price but many others that are cheaper still provide 2 bottles of water daily, offer to clean your room (or at least take out your trash) and have clean (white) towels. Front desk workers were never at the desk, always had to wait & they played music so loud at 23:00 that I honestly thought it was rude tourists not the staff!!!!"
