"We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We selected it as easy access to the airport and downtown Halifax without being right downtown. If you want to get out and walk to things it is not ideal. We ubered to the ferry - a quick trip. The room and facilities were spotless, the staff friendly and the breakfast was good and plentiful. If you have kids with you it would be perfect too."

"Overall, a good stay. The staff was very friendly. The room was very spacious and clean. I find the bathrooms a bit outdated sink and tub were plugging up with water. Breakfast area was very nice and modern, good choices for breakfast although if you are on a special diet choices are limited. The pool area is very outdated, the stairs to the slide are all rusty which is not very aesthetic, hot tub was very hot which was super nice but again very outdated. It was nice to have the option of the pool slide and hot tub. I just think it was a little bit overpriced for the fact how outdated it was in general."

"Room and breakfast were good. We ended up taking an Uber to the airport because the shuttle bus was full and only runs every 1/2 hour. Hotel is under renovation so still needs some updates. There are stairs in weird places so if you have someone with mobility issues, like we did, make sure to clarify there are NO STAIRS required to get to your room."

"A great affordable alternative to staying in downtown Halifax. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious. The pool was well maintained, a good size and a comfortable temperature. The breakfast was outstanding, with so many well prepared food choices. Internet worked well and there was plenty of free parking in the lot. Would definitely recommend!"

"We spent one night here at this beautiful location. We enjoyed the hot tub and lovely lake front property. The room was quiet (although this could be different if the additional guests were noisier; we did hear conversations in the morning). The room and common areas were very clean. The communal kitchen and living room were well appointed. Self serve breakfast with numerous choices. Bed and bed linens were very comfy. Close to Martinique Beach at the end of the peninsula where we saw a beautiful sunset. This is a self check-in location and we appreciated that convenience. Staff was available if needed but everything was clearly outlined in our handbook and messages prior to check-in. We would stay here again if we were in the area."

"This facility is lovely, if a little pricey. It is ideal for a relaxing getaway or special occasion. The view of the lake is great and provides an ideal backdrop. The dome is spacious and has everything you need. A little more countertop and food prep area would have improved the experience. There is a nice bbq on the deck but unfortunately no table so you have to eat inside, which I found sad as it would have been nice to watch the boats on the lake whilst eating dinner. There is a good walking trail right next door to work up an appetite. Overall a pleasant experience for our first time staying in a dome."
