"Considering the price, the apartment was ok. There is an air fryer, kettle and toaster. Washing up is a challenge in the small sink in the bathroom. Filling the kettle is difficult as it doesn't fit under the tap in the bathroom! The bed was ok, but you can feel the springs. The TV didn't work as the aerial lead was damaged. The hair drier was dangerous as it was full of dust and smelt of burning. The views over the bay were spectacular. Ok for a couple of nights, no longer though."

"I arrived after 5pm and had not realised Sykes cottages were dealing with the property. It took me two hours to get in because of email issues and also no one to get hold of after hours from Sykes. This needs looking into.
The property itself was well worth the hassle I had been through and I will definitely go back for a second visit. It was clean and very quiet. Only issue was recycling I didn’t know what went where. Maybe a sheet telling you what to do. But apart from this would recommend."

"Beautiful property, exterior looks like manor house. Well maintained private garden where you can play with your dog or have a quiet read. Ample parking. Only grouse - our windows would not open and it was a bit stifling in the heat."

"Perfect quiet location not too far from shops and bars. A short journey to Bowness-On-Windermere about 5 minutes by car but very much walkable.
The space in the accommodation was huge absolute perfection"

"We very much enjoyed our one night's stay. We had brought our dog, and were allocated a dog-friendly room which was clean, well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and the decor was fresh. The dog treats, bedding and bowl were a nice touch. There are additional parking charges (none if booked directly with the hotel) and £30 charge per night for the dog - a bit steep but the all-in cost was similar to other hotels for this period. Breakfast is very good with a wide choice of options and there is a special area for those with dogs with good access to the buffet."
"Concierge on arrival showed us around with a welcome prosseco and run us into village in complimentary Bentley.
Has a separate on site pub next to the pool area.
All staff polite and really helpful."
"The room was clean, but in need of some TLC. The lights did work, when the receptionist was told she came fiddled with the light bulbs, eventually they came back on. Once turned off they would not come back on. Very much felt that was an issue the hotel knew about, but had not fixed.
The staff at breakfast were not welcoming. When the breakfast came the bacon and black pudding were not fully cooked. The sausage was poor quality and very peppery.
Rather disappointing.
Will not be staying again."
"Nice hotel which has had some recent refurbishment.
Breakfast was only OK. Buffet style but food was only warm, some of which was poor quality. Lighting of the ballroom needs attention as it was so bright.
Large lake view room was lovely, albeit it needs checking more thoroughly as there were cobwebs and maintenence issues.
Gardens needs lighting as we nearly fell trying to return to the hotel o the dark.
Paying for carparking when you've paid £350 per night is poor."
