Hotel Spreewitz am Kurfürstendamm

"Don’t get me wrong, despite the three star review I would stay there again. The room (double) was large and light. The location was excellent, LOTS of shops, restaurants and public transport within seconds of the hotel. Noise was ok, it’s on a main road so you get traffic and people noise - for me that was part of the charm. I was on the top floor so the view was really cool and despite the weather being very warm, the room felt fine. The reason for the low stars is twofold. 1. The staff were the unfriendliest I’ve come across in a hotel. I didn’t have any problems, but I suspect of I had, they would have rolled their eyes and definitely not apologised. 2. The building has the quaint 1980s German “functional quality rather than recently updated” vibe. Now I quite like this, but I can imagine some people finding it dirty and old looking. So just be aware of your personal taste."

"Very clean place and nice atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed here as a solo female and felt very safe. It is also very close to the Bismarckstraße underground station, making it convenient for travel. Also right next to an Aldi, making it convenient for grocery shopping if needed. Overall, great place to stay, and I would highly recommend!"

"En bra plats för att sova på och du inte bryr dig om extra faciliteter som tex spa, gym, etc. Rummet helt okej. Mattan bör bytas ut annars inget att anmärka på. Vänlig och hjälpsam personal. När jag kom fanns det flera rum lediga så fick bestämma om jag ville ha mot innergården (sol men tyst) eller gatan (skugga men högljutt). Rekommenderar att ta med öronproppar. Det jag inte gillade var att både personalen och andra röker precis vid entrén. Flera hållplatser med bussar, tunnelbana, pendeltåg, och fjärrbussar endast 2-8 min promenad. Större livsmedelsbutik med "normalpris" ca 7 min promenad."

"Nice hotel, clean and good ambience. Lobby area is lovely as well. Beds are comfortable and rooms are sound proof. Beddings and pillows are comfortable and shower and toilet clean. Local area is really good. There is a shopping district 300m from hotel and there are sufficient eateries close to hotel. My son enjoyed the playground 100m from hotel. While the room is good size for double occupancy, it is not particularly big for tripple occupancy. With the sofa open as a bed, it takes up a lot of space and room is not large enough. Tripple occupancy should get bigger room especially if hotel is charging extra."
