"Hotel Hartls Lindenmuehle was an excellent home base for our summer stay in the area, with easy outings to Bayreuth and Nuremberg and plenty of nearby choices for day hikes. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, and staff assisted with anything needed: local transportation, late suppers, laundry, touring advice, and more. We enjoyed the great food (definitely don't miss breakfast!), comfortable rooms, jacuzzi, and lovely outdoor space right by a brook and steps away from walking trails."

"It's a lovely clean and bright studio in the heart of Bayreuth, a 15 minute walk from the train station and less than a minute from the colourful and lively Maximilianstraße. If you're prepared to self-cater (and the local supermarkets are excellent), then it's a bargain. What stops it from my giving 5 stars? Not much. The apartment can get very hot, although a fan is provided. A separate receptacle for recycling would be welcome, as would a dustpan and brush for daily cleaning and instructions for how to use the hob cooker. Hghly recommended."
