"Hotel Hartls Lindenmuehle was an excellent home base for our summer stay in the area, with easy outings to Bayreuth and Nuremberg and plenty of nearby choices for day hikes. "It's a lovely clean and bright studio in the heart of Bayreuth, a 15 minute walk from the train station and less than a minute from the colourful and lively Maximilianstraße. If you're prepared to self-cater (and the local supermarkets are excellent), then it's a bargain. What stops it from my giving 5 stars? Not much. The apartment can get very hot, although a fan is provided. A separate receptacle for recycling would be welcome, as would a dustpan and brush for daily cleaning and instructions for how to use the hob cooker. Hghly recommended."
