"I booked a single room here as a last-minute addition to my trip, and it was the absolute highlight. The hotel’s central location is dreamy—in the heart of the city, surrounded by trees and next to a canal, making everything walkable. My room featured amazing balcony views of the Black Forest and excellent air conditioning (contrary to some older reviews).
I came here to unwind and did exactly that, spending my days at the spas. Over the weekend, there was a festival right next to the hotel and casino, which added a great energy to the evenings. The hotel staff was absolutely lovely, and because Baden-Baden is a smaller town, everyone was incredibly friendly.
A few helpful tips for future guests:
Navigation: Avoid Google Maps in this area; it glitched constantly, turning 3-minute walks into massive detours.
Train Station: It’s a bit far, but a local bus connects it to the hotel in 20–30 minutes.
Airport Transit: Public transit to the Baden-Baden airport is tricky with no direct buses. Instead, the hotel kindly arranged a taxi for me, which cost €60 and took about 20 minutes.
There were zero downsides to my stay. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be coming back!"
"We were very impressed with this budget hotel. Definitely value for money.
New, clean with a nice continental breakfast.
Staff very helpful.
First time we have had a code to enter the room rather than a key. Advised to photograph the code as it’s about 10 digits.
Bill paid upfront, so no checkout required as the room access code stops working at 11am automatically"
"Excellent hotel with every necessary luxury available. Breakfast on the terrace is great with a big garden to use, with shade and sun. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is very quiet and is only a short walk to bars and restaurants in the town centre. Would definitely return"
"We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist who spoke excellent English. She outlined the dinner and breakfast times. The girl in the bar was also very helpful when I asked her about the nearest pharmacy. She looked it up on her phone and showed me on the map. The room was large, clean and comfortable and had a large balcony overlooking the lovely gardens. Our evening meal was tasty and well cooked and there was a nice terrace to sit with drinks before going to bed. The breakfast had a large selection to choose from."
"Really nice location, had a larger than expected room which was a result. Chose hotel based on reviews about views and being on the 3rd floor was impressive. Spent each evening out on the balcony enjoying the view.
The hotel is i think mainly used by walkers/hikers, the surrounding area has many paths. Not far from the main street with its shop and a couple of bars/restaurants but the walk back up the hill will be a bit of a mission. We used the car. There is parking along the side of the hotel.
Ingolf is the owner of the hotel, he is a friendly guy who trys to make your stay welcoming."
