"A great find and conviently located. The gentleman on reception was great throughout my stay, very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The room was a good size with lots of old period furnishings. Large comfy bed and a fan heater provided. AC worked well too though being the cooler months use of fan heater was needed. Large bathroom with good hot water shower. Located within walking distance to the Palace entrance gate and plenty of resturants nearby. Would definately recomend and stay here...

"This hotel had Great Lake views, very peaceful and serene. It was slightly off the main drag so quieter street and not immediately in the fray upon leaving hotel.
Staff was always polite, helpful, friendly. Breakfast was plentiful, varied and delicious. Highly recommend!"

"This is a good place in the old town of Udaipur. It's convenient and fairly clean for the area. Just note that the area is run-down and dirty—but that's old town Udaipur. Also note that there is no elevator."

"Our family of four spent three nights at the Hotel Aashiya Haveli! We loved it there. The location is great, in the heart of where you want to stay (Lal Ghat) and there’s a great view of the lake from the roof. The room was spacious, clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. Overall, it was very mellow and pleasant. Sometimes it was a little hard to find staff but that was never a big issue."

"Excellent service. Rooms were relatively cleaner than average. However there is no hot water which makes showering very uncomfortable. The shower itself also has no door so water gets all over the bathroom floor. "

"The hotel was beautiful and the staff were kind and accommodating. They made food in the restaurant just the way we like it. It is also clean. They have really cool horse safaris you can book too."

"Only half the rooms had access via elevator. I had no elevator to my room and that also I found out after the room was assigned. Had I known that I would not have stayed there. Was strange building with really narrow tight corridors with stairs. Room rent should not have been more than 1000 Rs!"

"Pros: Helpful host. Nice comfortable stay. Room has a table and two chairs which are very useful. Location is very good. City palace can be viewed from the terrace. Eateries are near by. Value for money.
Cons: The bin inside the room is too small. "

"Room was not available and owner still accepted the booking. He did not even cancel the booking on asking. We faced too much difficulty finding another option to stay as it was too late. Terrible thing was when we asked expedia for refund even they supported that hotel made up story."

"Staying here was like living in a dream. My room had corner windows overlooking the lake. The architectural details made it feel magical. This is India; luxury is defined differently here. It’s more about how well you are treated, and the staff excelled in attentiveness and warmth. Too, they kept the hotel and restaurant impeccably clean. The rooftop restaurant has a splendid view. Too, sitting there, you can feel the depth of spirituality listening to the chanting from the nearby temple and hearing the call of the muezzin, as well as feel the legacy of the Mewar dynasty still influencing the city from the nearby palace.
Gopal Singh made the Rooftop Restaurant a welcome refuge from the lively chaos of the nearby marketplace. Harsh, the manager, is also on his game… as was his assistant, whose name I did not catch. The hotel was very well-run. I was sad to leave. And hope someday to return. If you are in Udaipur, this is the place to stay, hands down. "
"Very good overall.
Great food. Chef prepared us special Benne Dosa which was amazing. House keeping by Shalini was spotless. Very friendly and professional reception desk staff.
Had a great Diwali celebration night. "
"The hotel is stunning and the staff very friendly, however, 2 points to mention:
- the windows of our lake view room were very dirty, and sealed, which ruined the view.
- on the second night, the swimming pool area was closed for a private event, and the guests were not able to access the premises "
"I liked this hotel. It is quirky - an old haveli, rooms are all interesting and the landing areas between them have seating / meeting areas - cool and pleasant spaces. The room towels are a non-original shade of grey. Not dirty at all but not new I suppose. The dining area has a clear view of the lake and above it is more seating again with glorious views. The breakfast is comprehensive - some lovely pancakes - and the service there is excellent. "
"Great location right next go Chandpol bridge..fantastic staff reception..restaurant ..and housekeeping...everyone could not do enough for us!! Second stay and we were welcomed like family...basic room..lovely balclny lake view!!"
