"Stayed in this lovely, newly refurbished motel in Collingwood recently. Spacious, nicely furnished with a very well equipped kitchen area, this is one of the cleanest, best presented motels I've ever stayed in. Right opposite the Collingwood Tavern for an evening meal, a few steps along the street from the handy convenience store and just a little further to the Farewell Spit tour office, the Pioneer Motel could not be better situated. Best thing however was the lady owner who was friendly, kind and helpful."
"We had the most comfortable 4 day stay at Ratanui. Everything was better than expected! What made the stay exceptional was the amazing staff. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and right at home. The chefs and the menu were such an unexpected surprise! The food and presentation so far exceeded our expectations. 5 stars all the way!"
"The Rocks is a hidden gem, a plethora of flowering and fruiting plants, whimsical touches, a glow worm grotto and very engaging staff.
If anything wasn't in your chalet, there was a common cooking and laundry area. Not only did we use some things, we shared some of our extras. So much better then thowing some things in the rubbish!"
"Loved our stay, Steve was so welcoming and helpful. Spacious cabin with everything you need. Comfy bed. Lovely view of the beach, and dogs staying free was amazing, thank you very much. "
"This was a great place to stay. The room was spacious and was connected to a small dining and living room. René and Marianne were friendly hosts and breakfasts was plentiful, delicious, farm-to-table, and varied daily. One day we had to leave early for a kayak trip in Abel Tasman and they went out of their way to provide easy to take foods at 0600! We didn’t expect that. After a long day, they had homemade cookies for us, too. Fresh fruit and tea and coffee always available. You have to taste the fruit!
We didn’t do our research and didn’t realize the distance and the road from Abel Tasman would be that challenging. So once you are at the B&B enjoy the surrounding area and the amenities provided by the B&B and the hospitality given by René and Marianne. The aviary is a treat to see.
If you are expecting a pristine resort, this isn’t for you. This is a working farm with down-to-earth owners.
Sign to Golden Caves needs to be repainted is my only suggestion."
"Haven't actually stayed there yet! I booked the wrong month... But they were easy going and moved it to the right dates no fuss. Looking forward to the stay"
