Motel 6, Bakersfield hotels

"Stayed here a couple of years ago and judging from the more recent reviews I almost changed my mind. Glad that I didn’t. You can see that the property used to be an older hotel but with several million dollars of improvements. Huge pool surrounded by a tightly trimmed lawn, places to sit and relax everywhere including a couple of chairs outside each room. Everything is newly renovated and has the new hotel scent. Fitness center has a couple of treadmills and free weights. Definitely would stay again."

"There’s a Costco down the street. There’s plenty of eating options. I recommend hacienda Mexican food."
