Driving in, the entire parking lot was torn up and fenced off. Ok, that happens. After checking in, several people showed up at my door looking for "Rob" who had apparently lived there before me. There were two domestic disputes going on in the hallway while I was unloading, and a couple scary people tried to sneak in behind me without keys.
After I was settled and took a look at the room, I just have up. It was filthy. While the bed was freaky made, everything else was gross. There was dirt and garbage all over the top of the fridge, hair inside it, the cupboards were falling apart and the walls had been scraped to pieces. I gave up and repacked my car and checked out. The front desk clerk literally wasn't even surprised, and cheerfully put up a refund, saying she was glad I told her instead of just leaving as she needed a form signed to refund my money. Yikes
