"Very nice property and the location was excellent... right in the heart of the historic district. But the high point of this hotel is the restaurant. First of all excellent breakfast with a panoramic view of the city from the rooftop. And the dinner menu is outstanding... very unexpected for a hotel restaurant... highly recommended."
"The staff were incredibly hospitable and friendly, more so than most! We had a member of our group with a disability and they were very accomodating of her in terms of room placement, bed separation etc. They also arranged a taxi for us to the train station on our final day and provided recommendations for where to eat nearby. Plus, a check out time of 12pm is a real luxury!
The rooftop food and bar upstairs were fantastic quality too, we had top quality sushi and cocktails there. And we really enjoyed our breakfast up there each morning. I would highly recommend Hotel Plaza Opera given all of the above - plus it is in a very central and convenient area!"
"As a 3-star hotel, the Mediterraneo is excellent value for money and perfectly situated close to the Teatro Massimo and via Macqueda. The breakfast is excellent. However, it is a pity there is no kettle in the room for making tea or coffee. Also, there was no shower cap or shower gel. I have been coming to the Mediterraneo for 51 years (since 1975!). It has always been great under successive management. However, I would like to see a little more by way of facilities in the room, including also a stocked mini-bar."
"Interesting hotel.very clean would have been amazing in heyday.helpful staff.great pool could do with more umbrellas.breakfast very poor.limited snd ran out coffee machine urgently needs updating but we still enjoyed our stay."
"Hotel was very comfortable, in a hood location and staff accommodating. Note standard street facing rooms can be noisy. Better to be on higher floor facing away from the street if you are noise sensitive"
"Staff was excellent especially reception people. Could not get better location for the hotel. Staff however did not recommend the restaurant in the hotel said was overpriced."
"El hotel es bello, el personal atento y muy profesional, la comida muy buena. La habitación que nos dieron no tenía clóset y el aire acondicionado no funcionaba bien. Solicitamos cambio por lo del A/C. Lo otorgaron a una habitación idéntica pero con clóset (armario) lo cual fue una mejora. Resolvieron, eso es lo que mejor se valora."
