"Lovely old building, recently renovated right in the heart of the old town. This means transporting luggage a distance from the car but good communication re parking nearby. Inside the property, the duplex we were staying in meant climbing quite a lot of stairs with suitcases, although they did offer to help. "My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay, 5/5. The host Stelios is very welcoming, helpful and kind. The mansion is beautiful, our room was amazing with a private balcony and the pool looks over the valley and Heraklion. "The apartment was absolutely perfect for our stay. It was approx 10 min walk to the Old City, had parking and the apartment had everything necessary to make our stay a fabulous experience. "Very beautiful views atop a mountain overlooking the Mediterranean. The road up is a challenge, for sure. Probably unlike anything else you have driven, but very doable with a little patience. "The property is very clean, the pool was lovely for a refreshing dip and there was a bar serving cool drinks. The beach and local restaurants were a short walk away. It would be advantageous if the property updated the air conditioning units, as the current unit did not keep the room cool. But an enjoyable and relaxing stay all the same."
