"Rooms were clean and tidy, only small issue was the stairs up to the reception area and then the stairs again up to our room. If you have any problems with stairs then you will struggle. Parking isn't available at the property either, 1 or 2 places near by for 5 euro or so for long stay but again, a bit of a walk to the property. Excellent location for pubs and restaurants ect and only 5 mins from the dog/horse track. For the price it was worth every penny as rooms were 100%, perfect for a short stay for a night on the town."
"Innisfree House is amazing. It is over a century old Edwardian townhouse owned by Robert DeNiro’s doppelgänger. He is an excellent host a pours a fabulous shot of TyrConnell whiskey and is a great conversationalist and family man.
Our room was opulent and cozy.
Breakfast was served in the dining room every morning with a variety of choices from the menu. This was included with the room.
There is a coffee shop and market directly across the street.
The lady who runs the place is Gitte,( I hope I got the spelling right). She is warm and witty and a wonderful hostess.
This place provided us with not just a bed and breakfast but memories to last a lifetime.
I pray that I will be back again. This place is wonderful."
"This is one of the most delightful places we've ever stayed. Simultaneously like staying in a dear friend's beautiful home AND the highest quality hotel. The locally sources and prepared food is superb; everyone who works there is friendly, professional, & helpful; the grounds & buildings are idyllic; and Carlingford is a lovely, well-appointed, walkable town. We would definitely return to Ghan House!"
"Cormac was excellent very friendly and professional and helpful. He had loads of recommendations of places to visit in area. Lodge was modern well equipped and spotless. A very safe and secure location with coded gates. Fantastic base for exploring the area and so close to greenway. Would highly reccomend checking it out"
