Lovely big room, was nice & warm & very clean. Shower was ok, would have preferred it to be more powerful. Bed comfortable. Stunning views out of the front of hotel to River Dee. Hotel was lovely, several different areas to eat & drink & liked the coal fires. Meals were really nice, service at the evening meals not so good though. Otherwise staff were very friendly & helpful. Would stay here again as great location.

Brilliant service, friendly staff, clean, well stocked room, bed wasn’t the comfiest for me but that’s a personal choice. As to be expected with a period property there are quirks, lots of creaky floorboards in our room but nt a lot could be done about this. Overall - fantastic!

Perfect for getaway with dog :)

Lovely 3 days

We had amazing weather for January which made the river walk to Crathes Castle really a treat. All the food was very good and hot. Real fire made it homely. Pet friendly. Outdoor seating gave easy access the to great river side and views.

Lovely spot to relax

Comfortable and great that the bar was open 24/7 when we arrived late in the evening. The scenery was amazing and the food in the restaurant was a little expensive but really delicious

Banchory Lodge was beautiful, the rooms were large and there was no noise from adjoining rooms. The setting was peaceful and in the morning all you can hear is the river Dee. The food was amazing and plentiful.
