The Centrepoint Hotel was in a good location in Gadong district, about 2 km from the airport and 4 km from the city centre. There were many restaurants within a short walk and the Centrepoint Shopping Mall and food court was about 10 minutes walk and there was a night market about 20 minutes walk away. The hotel rooms and décor were a bit dated and could do with an update. However, the rooms were clean and well appointed and the bed was comfortable. I was upgraded to a Junior Suite, which had a kitchen and lounge area, with a separate bedroom and bathroom. The shower was in the bathtub, which was quite high and getting in and out may be difficult for people with mobility issues. The wifi was good and accessible throughout the hotel. I had an issue with the air conditioning in my room where the thermostat could not be adjusted so had to turn the air conditioner off at night or the room was too cold to sleep. My room was at the front of the hotel and the traffic noise was bad at certain times of day. Breakfast was a good selection of local and western food. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. As I had an early evening flight I requested a late checkout and this was easily arranged through the front desk. Overall I would recommend the Centrepoint Hotel for anyone coming to Brunei.
