The owner put me in a better room as he'd had a cancellation for no extra charge. It was a lovely room,sea view,en suite and a REALLY comfy bed.

Bike tour

Eric met us on our motorcycles as we pulled up and moved his car out of the garage so we could put the bikes in. Fantastic service - great place to stop right in the centre of town. Spot on.

Charming old-style family hotel

Small but comfortable room with sea view, good temperature control and friendly service. The detached bathroom was as big as the room. Look for the carpark entrance just before the hotel when you're coming from the east.

Best food in the area!

An older hotel with some character. I was made to feel like a family friend staying here and really enjoyed it. The owner was very friendly and the food was amazing. I would definitely stay again fir the food alone!

Well located for the Aberdeenshire tourist area, on the main road but with ample parking this is a really nice hotel. I got a warm welcome and for me, that set the tone. I didn't manage to eat that evening but the breakfast was really nice.

Lovely Georgian building but in need of renovation. Not good access for those less abled but owner and staff very willing to assist. The family room and double room beds and furniture looked well suited to the age of the building. The beds in the twin room we had were a bit soft for us but bedding* was fresh and clean. Was perturbed that there was no waste bin in the bathroom.Owner not able to make a lot of changes due to listed status of building but a bit of basic updating to woodchip wallpaper would not go amiss. Good cooked selection at breakfast, basic cereal and juices. Various scones and fresh fruit also provided. Owner was able to provide some non dairy items to suit dietary needs which was welcome. Good location and on site car park.

Charming and comfortable

A lovely hotel, full of charm and fantastic staff. They were very accommodating to our last minute change in plans and ensured we were made very comfortable. Staying somewhere with an 18 month old is never easy but the space and comfort the room offered us ensured everything went smoothly. And the breakfast was terrific too

Right in the middle of the town but with ample car parking. Run by a very pleasant couple who make you feel at home. Good cooked breakfast. No lift but help with bags. Good sized room. The place is a bit dated but has a certain charm. Had a good evening meal there (Banff doesn't offer a great deal!) and lovely French music plays quietly in the background.

Welcoming staff & great service

My daughter stayed here, the hotel staff were most welcoming. The room was very comfortable and as she had to leave very early next morning before breakfast was available, they kindly have her a bacon roll & some water to take on her journey..

Beautiful views

We were made very welcome and the views and the food was excellent. I would definitely stay here again. Eric and his wife are very nice people and make you feel at home.
