Good location and just a walking distance to BTA and Metro. Room is big and bed is comfortable. However, limited power plug and NO trash bin are the major weakness i can tell.
This may be my last time staying here. I have stayed ar Bharani a few times in the last few years. There were not as many guests this time, and they put everyone in the 3rd floor dorm room. It is all coed, room and bathroom, no big deal since there are private stalls and your bunk is surrounded by curtains for privacy. However they cut off the air conditioning (AC) all night! They turned on a room fan fan but not enough. I ventured down to the other dorm on the 2nd floor and it was empty, but the AC was on and it felt good. I asked the girl at the front desk about this and she did not speak much English, but said they were keeping the 2nd fl room clean and empty. Why not turn on AC in the 3rd fl then? No response. Also, the free breakfast was just bread and coffee. Last time they had these thin noodles with veggies and chicken mixed in. The front desk girl knew nothing about this either. On a plus side, you can walk to Soi Cowboy and down Sukhumvit for night life.
Ett helt ok ställe. Läget till den stora marknaden var bra. Frukosten var inte mer än pulverkaffe och några toastskoivor. Fanns iofs en god noodlesoup.
I only stayed one night. Good place but they required a 500 baht deposit. Make sure you have the cash on hand when you arrive

I awakened to bedbugs twice due to negligent staff
The stay started well but when I was awakened in a state of disgust because I saw what i knew was a bed bug running up my towel from the bed. I brought the towel to the staff lady named Ming and she, as I found out later pretended to not know that they already had them which was extremely unnerving to me. I helped her take out the sheets and try to inform her of the seriousness of this problem. She got behind her computer and said, "Thailand doesn't have bedbugs, it must have come by backpacker, probably, Cambodia." We saw several more bedbugs while removing the sheets, which I did out of concern for her. She could have put me on the floor without bedbugs but she merely put me in another bed instead in which I was awakened by yet another bedbug. I was furious and demanded a refund and said do you want a big problem or a little problem? The manager Pia refused and I know it's because of their short sighted greed because I could here the petty money talk from the manager the night before. They will never get rid of the bedbugs because they will never shut the room, which equals money, their true god and king, to simply remove the problem. Enjoy the bugs and watch who they decide who gets what room. They decided on the wrong guy this time and I want to world to know!
A great cheap stay... and I mean cheap! There is no way you would find a $6 USD hostel in the U.S. You can walk to the Asoke BTS train station and the Sukhumvit Metro station, and to the nightlife in Soi Cowboy, all in just a few minutes. I think there were two floors, three if you count the lobby floor which is actually on the 2nd floor above a cafe, each with about 20 or so beds, bunk style. There is a large drawer locker for each person under your bed that can hold two full carry-on size small suitcases, but you must bring your own lock. There is also a storage room in the lobby to hold your things. The small bathroom on each floor has two toilet stalls, two shower stalls, and two sinks. Everything is coed, and I saw men and women changing clothes in front of each other with no problem. The girls who work the desk in the lobby are quiet and spend most of their time on their iPads. The place is clean, quiet, and safe, and nobody bothers anybody. Mostly foreigners from Europe and other parts of Asia that visit here. I like it. Will stay again.
