"The staff was outstanding, and always helpful and responsive. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because there were a few things that could be improved upon (we were in a stand-alone ground level unit with 1 br, 2 bds and a living room and kitchen - #22. There are larger, log-cabin style units that are probably nicer):
1. The air conditioning really isn't very big and was not adequate to cool the entire unit including the bedroom. It's far from the bedroom, so we got hot at night.
2. Kitchen could use a few more utensils. A dishwasher would be nice also.
3. The shower head broke off on the first night. It had been corroded over time likely by running the high-salinity lake water through it in addition to the fresh water...which is an option in all the rooms. Staff was very quick to respond and got it replace almost immediately though.
4. The wifi quality was terrible. My gf had to use the wifi in the lobby to get work done.
All that said, the positives of the Soap Lake Spa and Resort outweigh the negatives. The hot tubs are not big, but the staff does a good job maintaining them. The gym has a first-rate free weight rack and some decent equipment. The access to the high alkalinity lake and it's calming affects on the body are the reasons people come here. Coffee was fresh every morning and the the staff is friendly and does a great job. I would come back here and recommend this place if you're traveling anywhere around the Coulee Dam or Eastern WA."
