"Our stay at Velea was fantastic. The building is only 2 years old, very modern, with continual maintenance as it shows no signs of wear like many places do. Pool and Gym facilities are on point. "We chose this because we heard Siem Reap (SR) had become a mad house (it has in parts). GVV is a beautiful oasis. There are only four villas, each are two floor, architecturally fun, 2BR/2.5BA. Grounds and pool beautifully landscape. Staff great. But it is too far to walk to SR, which isn’t really a big deal given super cheap tuktuks. "

"You get what you paid for. I stayed here for just the weekend in Cambodia, and you really do get what you paid for. There are other budget hotels that I would recommend looking at or spending a bit more. This might be a Siem Reap issue, but there was a mosquito in my room for at least 24 hours and given that there was no mosquito net, I felt a bit uncomfortable.
