"The hotel is a jewel, just steps from Piazza Vanucci. There are two terrasses on upper floors, as well as a beautiful lounge where you can relax and read. The staff was very helpful, from recommending restaurants to arranging taxi service back to the parking garage at the end of our stay. The hotel is inside the walls of the historic centre and within easy walking distance of excellent restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. However, parking inside the centre is reserved for local residents only. It’s an uphill hike to the hotel. Make arrangements ahead of time to get a cab to the hotel. Overall, good value for the money, especially since breakfast is included."

"Loved the Hotel! We had a great view. Stayed with my young daughter and husband, my daughter loved this Hotel and we did as well. The breakfast buffet was great! Food was delicious. We truly Loved our experience in Assisi and loved and enjoyed our stay at Fontebella hotel. The Staff was great as well! "

"We stayed for 4 nights and were very satisfied. The location is great: just a minute’s walk from the bus terminal (perfect for our day trip to Assisi) and easy escalator access to the city center. Rooms were spacious for a European hotel, and the modern facilities are well-maintained. The included breakfast was satisfactory. Note that the gym and pool require an extra fee - I didn’t have time to use them anyway, but it was a bit surprising. "

"If one is looking for a healthy continental breakfast such as is now found in many hotels in Italy, this breakfast is probably not for you. It was strong on chocolate and sweet cakes but short on fresh salads. The hotel location is very good, on a bus route from the station. Hotel staff were excellent with advice on how to reach the old city and they sell the bus tickets."
