"Set in gorgeous surroundings, the field barn has everything you need for a rural retreat. It was always warm (something which we considered before booking it for our December stay) and we felt at home right away. Beds were clean and comfortable. "Beautiful property and unique experience staying in the castle. The staff were very friendly and welcoming - they looked after us very well. Beware some of the castle rooms require you to go up a spiral staircase which is a bit of a climb with a suitcase. The staff very helpful and will help with luggage tho. Evening meal was adequate only as there was limited options which interested us. However breakfast was amazing cooked to order and great variety to suit all diets. Do go on their history tour of the castle gives an opportunity to go up onto the roof and see the chapel"
