We caught a bus from Barmouth to Dolgellau (free on Sundays) and walked back to Barmouth along the Mawddach Trail. Excellent views !!

There is room for some decent restaurants, mid-price range, offering good quality food with no gimmicks and staying open in the evenings and at the beginning and end of the short summer season.
