I liked the room. I enjoyed the swimming pool, steam room etc. The restaurant offered a great selection of foods, with Western and Asian fusion cuisine. The breakfast was also decent. However, my room (room 105) was near a generator or something that kept coming on in two minute intervals and I couldnt sleep. I ended up asking them if there was anything they could do about it so they gave me another room (room 50), which wasnt as good as my previous room I had but at least it was quiet. I would stay again but be very careful on the room you get.

Great location, good facilities & efficient staff. Our suite was very nice. Cleaning trolleys left outside our room, in the hallways didn't help manoeuvring from our room to the breakfast room at 830am. Annoyingly, trolleys were still in the same place 90 minutes later on return to our room. On checkout at 12 they were still outside our room. Breakfast was very good, all needs catered for, buffet style.

Room was a bit tired, tv has white light across the top so needs replacing, bathroom grout not very clean. Spoons were dirty, makeup stain on the towel, dark stain on bedding. Weddings on, no noise from that but staff going into staff only loud all night and early morning, also a water pipe sounds very loud in the morning as well

Oct 25th to 27th.
Arrived at the hotel but had to wait for a receptionist to turn up to the desk. Issues with key cards for our rooms as they did not work and had to be replaced twice during our stay. Drinking water was not provided in the room so had to buy some from the bar. At breakfast we were met by a lovely and friendly member of staff who took us to our table and explained what was on offer.

The hotel is rather dirty - the carpets / chairs are all stained and look dirty. The bathroom are outdated with blackness around the bath. The lamp shade in bedroom fell on my head. Breakfast is all Highly Process Food, no fresh food. This hotel has seen better days .

Overall experience was good. With breakfast having a hood choice. Room was ok but looked outdated. Decent pool , sauna and steam room to use.

Lovely building. Staff very helpful. Quite a wait for food on the first night. Room a little run down and no plugs by the bed so you can have you phone charging next to you overnight. Feels a bit tired.

6th stay here and this unfortunately was the worse one. The hotel was very busy with a cycling event and events like this need to be advertised so guests can make personal arrangements for dinner, breakfast, pool and gym. It was a hot day and reception was slow, the hotel had no air conditioning. In the room there was a fan that circulated warm air. the two large coaches that took up the front entrance made it difficult to walk to the car park and they kept their engines running for several hours in the intense heat which made no sense. The bar area was overcome with guests so I returned to my over heated room with evening meal. even trying to order room service was difficult as nobody answered the phone. I would expect the hotel to make rooms comfortable for guest arrival, my towel radiator was on full blast on one of the hottest days of the year. Disappointed for the price paid for and experience given.

Standards have without a doubt gone down at tankersley manor.the rooms need upgrading and cleansing.my room was dirty and did not even have toilet rolls. shampoo and conditioner needed replacing so had to borrow from my granddaughter.the bath was full of long black hair..no TV remote.when I complained about a very badly cooked meal the staff were not interested just felt very let down after it was a special meal for granddaughters 18 th birthday.i will not be returning to this hotel ever again.its sad because it used to be good.
