"While I do appreciate a early checkin, there was a mixup and I got charged not only the fee I paid online, but the full fee and deposit along check-in (deposit was expected, full charge was not but was cleared up when I brought it up, did cause my bank to place a temporary hold and lock funds up, but the vacation was still a hit). The major disappointment was finding out GWL dosent do the buffet if they have under 80% occupancy, and the normal food is quite awful, definitely not worth $140+ for one sit down meal for 3 adults. The food was sub par in most places if I'm being honest. The pizza was worse than what you could expect than a frozen pizza. Prices for things were as you would expect, high for small portions of improperly cooked food, items unavailable for purchase. While overall my kids had a great time. As parents we did not have the best time, but it's about them, not us. Overall, food was terrible this time, last time? Great, had us coming back and telling people. This time not so much. The room was nice, expected less but was quite large. Staff was great, no issues there, and the mistake charge was reversed. Though next time I will be using the room charge more, it was very convenient to have the charges come out all at once and you can quite easly get a bill at checkout to verify charges. We will absolutely be back, but next time I hope the food is better."

"Only stayed here because nothing else was available for my daughter’s graduation week. Walking into the lobby it smelled like a nursing home and cleaner products. Only 1 elevator. Check-in took too long, but checkout was fast. They charged my card temporary $100 incidental fee for each of 2 rooms which hit my credit card as a charge. 2 bus days later it hasn’t been refunded yet. Found a small bug on bed, and bigger one in tub. AC in one room did not even turn on, electric outlets on one side of room did not work. Picture missing from wall with bracket showing. Outdated bathroom had ugly drop ceiling. Didn’t feel clean and room had a residual smoke smell. Continental breakfast was okay and appreciated but not great. Will never stay there again nor at a Comfort Inn. I knew what I was getting but really had no other choice. But I expected the basics to be met. Very disappointed."

"Smack middle of campus. Ideal for touring UMass Amherst. You know where you are...the throw pillows and throw blanket on the beds were emblazoned with UMASS. Parking is not quite straight forward if you use GPS, but still easy to get to. Breakfast was a simple spread. Unfortunately, unable to adjust temperature of the room. There is no air conditioning in the room. I was told the building is central air?!"
