We tried and tried to call and message the property and never received a response. La Fortuna is somewhat out in the country without many on the spot lodging options. "Loved the layout of the hot springs on site, very secluded feeling, and extremely safe. I loved the area with tiered temperatures where would go to what we called “lava hot” and go down to subsequently cooler levels as needed for comfort. I was a little concerned about how frequently they were cleaned (there was a food item in the hot spring with the walk up bar and I did not see anyone skimming or vacuuming during our stay), but I suspect that would be the same at all the hot spring resorts. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The property was easy to reach and we enjoyed some incredible nearby outings. We had a massage which we enjoyed. The skillset of the masseuse may not have been the best, but the sound of the little waterfall and the rainforest was exactly like the soundtracks playing in high end spas - and it was real! That encompasses the trip. We saw toucans flying overhead, lizards and toads, turkeys and peacocks. It was an incredible stay and the whole family enjoyed it. "
