"To no blame of the property, Colón in general is a bit outdated, trash everywhere, dirty water running on the streets, it's unsafe after dark. The hotel itself is very secured, despite the area, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean, and the beds were comfortable. Air conditioner worked fine. There was a TV, and private bathroom and shower."

"The short version of this review: Paradise at a pleasing price! Our stay at Gatun Lake Lodge was wonderful! Pierre, our host, was entertaining, accommodating, competent, and charming! And, the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Every meal was fresh and delicious. Our cabaña was very bright, comfortable, and clean. The pool was crystal clear and at the perfect temperature.
