Charming, old-fashioned guest house. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was cozy. Breakfast was quite nice. Note that this place is at the top of a steep hill. Definitely worth the climb if you’re traveling light and reasonably fit, but if you’re dragging heavy luggage or have mobility issues you might want to look elsewhere.

Great location not far from the centre and a nice walk down. Stayed in the loft room, comfy bed and pillows and useful tea making facilities and water provided. The only downside was the bathroom, the grouting and mould were really off putting. The whole bathroom could do with a revamp, it was quite uncomfortable. Other than that a good bnb.

The stay was good. There was a banging occasionally from the water pipes I believe which I could hear. That aside we slept well on their comfy beds. Beautiful garden and friendly staff. I would recommend staying here.👌

We absolutely loved our stay at Oldfields House! A beautiful place inside and out. Wonderful old world decor, delightful room with a view of the lovely garden. Great breakfast too. Thank you to Katie and the staff for making us feel so welcome and at home. Thank you also for helping us with further accommodation as we needed as extra night which Katie organised for us. Easy walking distance into the town centre too. Can’t wait to stay again.

The staff were fantastic and incredibly helpful. Check in and check out was simple and the walkthrough was fine. However, our stay did not meet our expectations. The room did not look ANYTHING like the photos on Expedia. Room #2 specifically was damp and smelled a bit stale and moist. The carpet certainly needed a cleaning and the room did not appear in a regency style we were expecting for our engagement trip. We may have had the one room in the hotel that was not in that style but we were left sorely disappointed since we were experiencing Bath for the first time and planned the trip to experience the Jane Austen festival. The photos seemed a bit misleading. We thought it was very underwhelming for the price.
