"It was great except when the alarm clock went off at 6am. Hit something n tbevrark but it went off again , guess it was on snooze. Could not figure out how to shut off. So just got up."
"We have been here before while in the area 12 years ago and still had the same level of service this past weekend. Great attention to detail with rooms and the bar is always a nice bonus. Of course lower drink prices would always be appreciated for guests 😬 However the staff makes it worth it! "
"Arriving at the property from the outside was okay got inside at about 5:30 p.m. and had to wait to hear back from housekeeping for about 20 minutes and then just get basically handed a key and had nothing explain to me and my wife regarding the property any amenities breakfast dinner drink nothing. The room we booked was supposed to be a sweet which did did cost a pretty penny and when we walked into the suite it was so outdated and made no sense the way it was set up with an itty bitty 32-in TV in the middle of the room with a sectional couch all the way to the left of the room and the bed all the way to the right and a TV right in the middle to where you couldn't see it from any seated position in the room unless you moved the furniture around. So I moved the furniture around to be able to sit down and watch TV that was horrible like I would think that hotel where you're spending almost $500 a night would have at least a halfway decent TV and couch but the couch was full of stains and when I moved the couch it looked like it hadn't been moved in years there was so much dust and dirt and cobwebs and dead spiders underneath the couch and on the floor that whoever is head of housekeeping obviously does not understand deep cleaning and that these rooms need to be deep cleaned every so often. The only positive thing about this hotel was the food. I would compare this hotel to Holiday inn DoubleTree home2go not a 4 star Hilton. We will never stay here again."
"The Cook Hotel is a hidden gem located right on LSU’s campus. The rooms are well appointed, the breakfast is great, and the gift shop is another bonus! I have stayed here 3 times in the last 8 months and since my son will be a freshman in the Fall, I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else!"
