Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Ceiling tiles in room were falling down. Freezer in room was dirty on the inside. There was a musty smell also.
We could hear the prostitute servicing someone above us for half the night, the room was dirty, they had are reservation mixed up, the food was expensive and bland, and to top it off the ants took over my snacks in the room
Nice place great food and bar! Exceptional kindness from CJ!!

Awesome stay at Sportsman’s Lodge
My grandson and I stayed and really enjoyed our time there. Staff was super friendly and when we arrived everything was ready and a very smooth process! Thank you!
I am ok with being an older property, but I still expect it to be clean. Hair and dirt in corners, tub and sink. Beds very uncomfortable and noisy with every change in position. Carpet had many dirty spots/stains. Room was cold despite turning off the Air conditioning, unable to turn on the heat.
We had made a reservation only to learn the pool was not working. We attempted to cancel the same day, within hours and were told that was not an option. Upon checking in staff was not very friendly, and one staff member didnt know the pool was closed and explained where it could be located. The dining room was closed, and we felt the bar food was over priced. The playground had a slide that was cracked. Next to the playground was a wire that was tied to a address placard, which connected to an overhead power line. Our service overal felt very cold and not welcoming to a family. We checked out after the first night despite having two additional days that wouldnt be refunded. Staff didnt care to ask why we were leaving early either.
The place looks nothing like the pictures. There is just plywood covering the hot tub, its been out of service a couple years but pics online still advertise it. The pool was freezing cold and not very clean. We didnt have hot water to shower, the bartender was very unattentive, expensive menu for less than average bar food. Breakfast staff was terrific and the breakfast food was good too. Thin ceilings and walls so you can hear everything. Good views and location.
I loved the view we had out our
Window.
I wasn't crazy about how the floors creaked whenever a person above us walked around.Everytime someone walked around at midnight and later it woke me up.
I thought someone was in our room

Outdated lodge
Well the first nonsmoking room smelled like smoke so we requested another room which was better. Weather was rainy when we were there so wanted to have heat. No heat, they hadnt turned it on yet
The tile ceiling was bowing over the bed and the ceiling tile was open in the a bathroom corner, all i can say is spider webs.
On a good note the food was decent. I really liked the chicken strips. Servers in the Sand bar were friendly and checked on us frequently. Beautiful view of the lake. All in all only a 5/10
I like the fact that the lodge has every thing amenity wise. The service at the sandbar was a bit to be desired to say the least. I had to ask for every drink that I got. Not once did any of the servers ask us if we would like another drink. I thought that was odd especially from being in the industry myself. Front desk staff was wonderful.
No heat in the room and it was very cold in the room. Floor was cold and not insulated just cheap carpeted squares. One of the 2 beds in the room had a broken frame so it was unusable. Food was pretty basic but over-priced compared to surrounding resorts. Room was as basic as you could get. No refrigerator or microwave. No end tables just a shared shelf. Walls are not thick at all. You can easily hear surrounding conversations well into the night. It was pretty disappointing. Drove 6 hours to arrive at a shack that has no refunds either. I do not recommend staying at the lodge part unless you are looking for just a bed, and even then, you might have a broken one. The only saving grace was the very kind staff.
