"This property is surrounded by beautiful greenery. We woke up with birds sound. Rooms were clean and decently decorated. Beds were comfy too. Great place to stay if you want to take pause on the way to Saint Michel. Frank is polite & was very clear with check in instructions. Definitely value for money."

"We had a lovely stay at this location on our recent trip to Normandy. It is very well located and within easy distance of a wide variety of museums and the beaches. Our host was wonderful and very helpful and friendly. He advised us on the best museums to visit during our stay and was very informative about the area and the history of the farm. The breakfast every morning was a highlight! Definitely recommend anyone coming to the area to stay at this B&B!"
"The Hôtel Château Saint-Gilles was absolutely stunning. The grounds were immaculately cared for and the rooms were modern and spacious. The location of this hotel requires a rental car. We did not have one and had to use taxis/Ubers to get into the town of Bayeux that were very expensive. One major frustration for us was that we booked two rooms and the rooms were not near each other at all-in fact they were in separate buildings. When we asked for one of the rooms to be moved, they said they did not have availability. Typically, when a family books two rooms, they need or want to be near each other. We had breakfast at the hotel one morning and found it quite disappointing for the price. We chose to eat breakfast in Bayeux following that. We were here for a short stay and wish we had more time to explore the amenities the hotel had to offer."
"The room was clean and adequate for a short stay. There was no fan or way to cool the room. The bed was firm. The breakfast is an additional 15euros and is at best worth 10 euros. It was not stocked well either. The staff was polite. The water machine poured warm water. There was No ice. I KNOW that is not common in Europe but be the "extra"ordinary....not the standard. The location was convenient. We would not stay again if we had other options."
"Clean and functional room with air conditioning. Towels and soap included. No kettle for hot drinks. A pay for hot & cold drinks / snack machine in the foyer. A good selection of continental breakfast with excellent coffee / hot drinks dispenser. Friendly staff with reasonable / good English. A clean hotel with plenty of parking. Easy to find on outskirts of Saint Lo. There was an ok Italian restaurant next door and a grill restaurant on the same block. A McDonald restaurant near by."
"Nice hotel, perfect location for us to meet family and visit some of the beaches and museums.
Staff very helpful, good continental breakfast. Good car park"
"We had a wonder stay at the Chateau Des Monts during the D Day festivities. The chateau was so peaceful and charming, and the hosts were so warm and friendly. This is one of our top memories of our trip to France."
"Our stay at DdlF was nothing short of phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a different world: peaceful, idyllic, and exactly the escape we needed after two bustling days in Paris.
We stayed in the Suite Colette, which was perfect for our family, as our teenager had his own bedroom. The suite itself was exceptional: the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the modern, spotless and modern bathroom was remarkably spacious by French standards.
The property grounds look as though they were lifted straight from a French novel. Its peaceful, rural setting was ideal for us - just 15 minutes from Bayeux and about an hour from Mont Saint-Michel, making it a perfect base for exploring the region.
What I will remember most, however, are Clémence and the unforgettable breakfasts included with our stay. Everything was extraordinary, from the beautiful garden setting to the delicious food itself. I still dream about those breakfasts. Missing them would be a crime!
Clémence, if you're reading this, thank you for making our stay so special. You are a true gem of a host, and you should be incredibly proud of the wonderful place you've created. We cannot wait to return.
Cheers,
Francesco & Eireen"
