The location was excellent in the heart of Lake Bohinj territory (easy day trip to Bled from there) with so much beauty and things to explore within walking/biking distance. "The apartment itself was excellent: very clean, spacious, and well laid out. The kitchen was well equipped for basic meals, with essentials like washing-up liquid, sponge, cloth, tea towel, plus tea, coffee, salt, and pepper provided. Unfortunately, the customer service did not match the quality of the accommodation. We arrived mid-afternoon to find reception unattended and never found staff there despite returning several times before it closed at 8pm. There were people in the staff area, but we were not greeted or acknowledged, which made us feel unwelcome. We also chose the property partly because Expedia lists communal laundry facilities, which we needed after a week of travel with a baby. We later discovered there is no self-service laundry, only a paid service, which was disappointing. Although the property is family-friendly, no information was provided about cots or high chairs on arrival (because there was no one there and when staff were present we were ignored). When we eventually found someone to ask, the first high chair we received was dirty and missing straps, though the manager later replaced it with a clean one. Overall, the accommodation itself was excellent and spotless, but the lack of staff presence, communication, and lack of any form of welcome (or effort to be made to feel welcome) let things down, significantly."

"We had a great stay at Triglav Bled. The old hotel is beautiful and has a commanding view of Lake Bled. The staff was excellent and the breakfast was really good. The room was spacious and very clean and well maintained. It was a great experience! Two things to be aware of though: 1) To get to Lake Bled is a bit of a hike down (and then back up) a fairly steep path, so if you are not in decent shape that could be an issue. 2) There is no food at the hotel after lunch time. The restaurant is closed for dinner, and the option is to drive to Bled to find a restaurant. Neither of these was an issue for us but worth mentioning. I will definitely stay at Triglav Bled if I visit again!"
