The Parrett Hotel was a comfortable and welcoming place to stay - We stayed just the one night, but it would be our first choice to stay when we revisit the area and we wished we had booked to stay longer.
The owners mentioned that they had organised the hotel to be welcoming and friendly to dogs, as they had found it difficult when travelling with their own dog - and inedeed they had! Our room was very spacious and marvellous value. The bed was comfortable, big TV, lots of floor area and comfy chairs - There was even a dog bed - a towel for the dog's use, dog bowls, poo bags and a bag of treats left for the dog!
Outside there is a paved patio garden with lots of cafe style seating, as a fenced in area, so dogs can be let free. This includes a dog waste bin and more poo bags in a dispenser. The car park is not huge, but we had no trouble parking and the Hotel is on the major route through the village, but traffic was light and the room although looking out onto the road was very quiet at night. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was superb, with lots of choices and a huge variety of items (Teas, juices, Marmalades, Jams, Honey, biscuits etc.) laid out before the cooked to order breakfasts(included in the tariff) (Full English/Rolls/Eggs/Porridge etc.) arrived. Did not use the Pub itself - but obviously it's onsite! Its seemed that the owners were going out of their way to make a great experience for people staying and I wish them every success!!
