"Our room was very damp, the sheets and carpet were damp, there was a damp, mildew smell. All our clothes got damp being in the room. I did not feel like moving rooms as we were already unpacked at this point, so we just dealt with it. Other than that some minor updates and paint refreshes could go a long way. We would come back again and try a different room everything else was fine, and staff was friendly. My wife thinks maybe the ac has been leaking into the room but we are not certain."

"Riverboat Inn & Suites - Outstanding accommodations! We visited Madison, IN for the first time and selected the Riverboat Inn & Suites - so happy we did! It's an historical hotel that was completely renovated about 4 years ago. Everything was renovated with thought, care and creativity! Comfortable beds, healthy continental breakfast with lots of fresh fruit options and a cute swimming pool (which we did not use this rainy weekend). It has a spectacular view of the Ohio River with a large outside veranda. On weekend nights, it offers their guests live entertainment...sit back with your favorite drink from their full bar, relax to the music and just enjoy your surroundings. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. The bathroom is not big (remember, it's an historic building), but the shower is hot and strong. If you are looking for a super big room, go somewhere else but if you want a SUPER clean, warm and inviting room with a spectacular view and great amenities, you found your get-away hotel. Madison has much to offer with lots of interesting restaurants, very walkable and has community activities every weekend. We will return!"
