"The room was nicer than my apartment. I booked the room with the jetted tub, but was given the room with a sauna. That was my only disappointment. The room was amazing. There was a full kitchen in the apartment, including a large fridge and freezer. It also had everything you could possibly need to cook a small meal. The recliners were very comfortable. The bed was extra soft and had a heated mattress. The shower was extra hot and the water pressure was perfect. I really enjoyed the towel warmer. The wifi was strong and reliable during my stay. There was a TV with streaming channels, a DVD player, and a CD player. There were also DVDs and CDs for your use in the room. There was even a CD player in the sauna. It made it extra relaxing.
The owners are very nice. They allowed me to store my luggage there before check-in. They also left me some chocolates, chips, and some wine and beer for my stay.
If you are ever in George Town, I highly recommend staying here. It is worth it."
"The moment we settled in, we felt like we were on holidays. Very clean, well presented accommodation with all the amenities we could want. The heating was on when we arrived which was appreciated because it was a cold, stormy kind of day. Electric blankets on each bed, if required. Two couches and a single lounge chair, so plenty of sitting and lounging space. Large windows to capture the surroundings on every side of the cabin. Cabins are spread apart and have hedges and varied plantings to create seclusion and privacy. We had water views which created a good excuse for sitting and staring out the window across the deck. Washing machine, dryer and iron were very welcome accessories. Easy check-in and check-out. Lovely little walks along the river or tracks to the water and green spaces. Easy, short drive to Seahorse World, Platypus House, fishing, cafe’s, hotel dining, and the Post Office which sells a range of things, including bait, milk, bread and glue sticks, to name just a few things.
Thank you to the custodians of this facility and the care they take to keep it well maintained and presented. We will return."
"So quiet and peaceful, waking to dawn across the water, and clouds of birds doing aerial ballet.
The room was neat, clean, simple and uncluttered but with everything necessary. Very restorative."
"This is the second time we've visited the Low Head, George Town area and wanted to stay at the pilot station.
We were not disappointed; these charming old buildings are in great condition for their age. We had trouble with the gas heater in our unit but Jodi from the kiosk came to the rescue. The bed was comfortable; the kitchen well stocked with cooking equipment and parking was onsite and close to the unit. These units are old and have some "quirky" features at times. We would definitely stay there again on our next trip. The museum is well worth a visit too, there is so much history in this part of Tasmania."

This property is a great place to stay to visit Platypus House, Beaconsfield Mine Museum and Sea Horse world.
Stayed in the Executive Suite and it was stepping back into the era when built. The room was huge and included a lounge area, dining area and very modern and clean bathroom.
The owners have revamped the decor to the era and ensure that you enjoy your stay. The host very, very welcoming, provided a lot of information regarding the places to visit in the area and explain restaurant options in the local area.
The area is quiet, very comfy bed and very clean. Includes a verandah at the back of the hotel to soak up the sun.
A continental breakfast was provided in the room and very private.
Great place to relax and chill out.
