Hearthstone Inn Boutique Hotel Halifax - Dartmouth
2/10 Terrible
"Please do not visit this establishment. Between the first room with a piss covered toilet and the second room with a dried up dead cockroach on the heater with some live other types of bugs struggling for life, this place is a dump. The host at the desk was embarrassed and gratefully gave us our money back when we insisted we could not stay here. 9 PM that evening, we were sitting in the parking lot searching for other hotels. Thankfully, we found one. Stressful evening. The picture of the hearthstone online is not what it is in person. Shocker when you drive up to the front of the building. Do not stay here."
"We stayed the night for a March staycation so it served its purpose. Our room was not ready at check-in and I had to state multiple times I had a pet even though I booked a pet room and called the day before.
They said the room was late due to it being inspected for cleaning but when we got to the room we discovered someone’s pjs and wrappers on the floor and in the drawers. Our fridge was leaking and the bathroom door didn’t close all the way. We did not bring these issues up as we only stayed for the night and left early morning. It looked like the hotel was booked up, so we left it but unfortunate and left feedback directly to the hotel too. "
"Clean room and property, breakfast is good, our room with 2 queen beds had lots or extra room. Staff is friendly and helpful. The connected hotel can make parking difficult when they are busy as parking is limited. However parking is available behind the hotel next to the fast food places. I stayed many times at this hotel and has always enjoyed the stay. "
"The room was very nice and clean. Didn’t have hand soap upon arrival.
The pool was fine but you can tell it hasn’t been renovated. Hot tub was just warm and only half of the jets worked. "
