"We booked this hotel under the pretense that the resturant was open for business and the taxi price rate was similar to the rest of Ecuador or the reviews in our travel book. Hotel served a nice breakfast BUT no other food is available so one must go into Puerto Ayora for lunch and dinner. The taxi rate to and from hotel into town can be anywhere from $10-$15 each way..... if u want to freshen up after a long tour that will be 4 taxi rides......$40-$60 per day. Lawrence offered us a ride...

The rooms and garden area are in excellent upkeep and pleasant to hang out in hammocks or seating arrangements. The owners are very kind people, who even helped me organize a free ride back to the airport upon my departure (a relative happened to also take a flight off the island). I highly recommend this establishment. "
