"This is an old hotel and is fairly well maintained (toilets are a bit temperamental); however, the staff were fantastic and the food was amazing!!! best fish and sticky toffee pudding ever!! Fun pub beside. The staff were super helpful with any of our needs, they even dried our wet clothes!! Great place for a night stay"

"We loved our two nights stay at Melfort House. It was peaceful idyll that restored us somewhat as we were nearing the end of our road trip through Scotland. Matthew is a wonderful host, and we felt welcome in his home. The breakfast offerings were top notch, and our room and bed were so comfortable. The location was perfect for a day trip to nearby Oban, which should not be missed, particularly for the seafood and Oban Distillery tour. "Lovely location and the after hours access to Arduaine Gardens was a nice touch. Excellent dinner in the restaurant. Room was fine, a little basic but comfortable beds and a good night sleep in the peaceful surroundings."
