"South Carolina - very nice room, well maintained and clean with a 3rd floor view of the Main Street. Note that all rooms require steps to 2nd & 3rd floor. Good location, close to everything.
Owners need to review definition of “B&B”. We have never stayed at a B&B before that charged extra for breakfast.
We arrived at 5pm, left at 10 am; never met any employee or owner. Strange!"
"The location is great. We were able to walk downtown for dinner and some shopping. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. We appreciated being able to bring our dog to Gettysburg with us. The hotel was very pet friendly. Breakfast was great. The air conditioner in our room was noisy but other than that, we have no complaints. We will definitely stay there again."
"The Larkspur has great reviews, but as someone who stays in hotels regularly, I was disappointed. I rate it as OK at best. On arrival, the one and only staff person was on a personal call on their cell phone and did not immediately hang up to assist - I waited several minutes to get checked in. Our FIRST room assigned was over 80 degrees, smelled musty, and the AC did not work. Thankfully we were able to move across the hall, where the AC worked at least, but the machine was so loud it kept waking us up. Over all, the hotel looks like it's cleaned regularly, but it could use a deep clean and updates. Carpets need shampooing, bathroom fixtures are covered in scale... I was also not the only customer at the desk complaining about their room on checkin, so it's not just a one-off. Breakfast was just OK. My kid ate it, but I did not bc there were zero proteins (except for eggs with cheese, which I cannot eat). Overnight there is just one staff person, and the times I went downstairs in the evening, they were not visible at the desk, nor did they come out when people were around. This is a security issue on many levels. The environment is quiet, probably because not many folks were there. Won't be choosing this hotel again."
"Great employees. The bar has great homemade sodas and wonderful non alcoholic
Cocktails.
The hamburger wth bacon jam was probably one of the best I have ever eaten.
I enjoyed my stay."
"The motel was really dated. Didn’t feel like it was very clean as the sinks were rusty, shower & toilet were not much better. Wouldn’t have stayed here if I hadn’t prepaid.
Lesson learned!
The breakfast was decent but I would’ve paid for breakfast for a more updated stay. Wouldn’t recommend!"
