Unique property in a very central location
A unique experience. The location is excellent, and the property itself is outstanding - a heritage house laid out amongst a large vibrant garden. Since it is a very old building, the rooms themselves have their quirks - tiny windows, the bathroom is just partitioned from the rest of the room - but if you can look beyond that then this is a steal at its price. The complimentary breakfast is lavish, and pets are allowed.

A cosy set up.
Stayed at this property as a stopover while on a road trip with our pet dog. The place was clean and green. Property has a very nice touch and has a lot of elements to make it unique. Request the owners/managers to however be a little more courteous to prepare food for our pets accompanying us. The caretaker was very hospitable and helped in providing us with the little things we needed.

Like staying with family
Charming family run establishment with great service ethic. Most of the guests seem to be repeat visitors. Nice grounds and tasty breakfast. Good location close to center but quiet.

An inner city oasis!
The value for money this place represents is incredible. lt is not 5* and you don't pay 5* prices but it has absolutely everything I want. The owners have an excellent understanding of what any traveller might need. working A.C, WiFi, a fridge, individually switched bedside lamps, outside seating, a kettle, reasonably priced beer for sale, a knowledgeable front desk, s book exchange and the icing on the cake fresh real coffee (no Bru, real perculated coffee!) The bed linen is a tad dated, don't expect Irish linen but it's clean. We took advantage of the tuktuk tour at 150 rupees an hour it was fantastic, if you're British & visit Tipu Sultan palace be prepared to be suitably ashamed of your heritage as l was still very worth a visit. And being the IT capital Uber is available with pool share for cheap airport transfer should you need it.

Great base for exploration
Casa Cottages was a great place to start our trip in India. We had a standard room that was adequate for our stay. They were able to recommend great places to eat such as Konark up the road. Breakfasts were great and kid friendly.

This was a fine choice. I stayed in the standard room, which I wold not rate as a 3 star choice. Quite basic, not an issue, just note that this is not a three star choice. Bottled water was not available. Filtered, yes, bu when I purchased a bottle of water it had been opened. That was a concern, I used it anyway, at my own expense, it turned out. I understand that Bangalore is expensive, but this felt overpriced to me. I would choose a business class place next time for the same cost.

Peace and serenity amongst the hustle and bustle.
A little tranquil haven in between a sea of hustle and bustle. The rooms are basic but the service from the owners is second to none and they were very helpful with all our queries. We would definitely go there again

Casa cottage is an oasis in Bangalore. It's amazing how quiet and pleasant the setting is, yet still in the heart of the city. Casa cottage is not the Marriott-- in a good way-expect a personalized, homelike setting. The staff was super friendly and helped me navigate the city and plan my trip.

Pleasant stay
I just had a quick stay from late afternoon to 5 AM the following morning. Hotel was very nicely situatuated in a secluded part of an otherwise very hectic Bangalore. Room was nice apart from the bathroom window which wouldn't close properly - a problem for a light skinned, mosquito-sensitive West European. Also no light breakfast provided on the morning, though the porter kindly provided me with 2 small bananas and a cuppa! Also, at Euro44 a little pricey.

Wish I could have stayed longer
This is a very nice place to stay in Bengaluru. I only had one day there, so the hotel helped me book a rickshaw to see some of the main sights. It is very pleasant sitting in the garden courtyard of the hotel where the office and dining area are.

Old world charm
A cute little place - quiet & reasonably comfy, lovely small garden. We checked out after 1 nite & stayed our remaining 2 notes at a more modern business hotel. Reason: the windy spiral staircase was a bit much to handle & my husband is not a dog lover & couldn't handle the big old dog lounging in the breakfast area! The room was ok - really clean. Could be improved by more hanging space. Nice ventilation in bathroom. Not a private balcony as the website sort of indicates - a shared one but opening off two rooms so we didn't intrude. Best suited for families & people who would welcome the 'oasis' feeling you get here. Staff were absolutely great - super helpful & very friendly, easy to communicate with. I didn't read the menu details in the dining area so I didn't know you had to order Indian breakfast 24 hrs in advance! We wish Casa Cottage every success.

As a city-hater, I enjoyed my stay
The taxi-driver from the airport had a great deal of difficulty finding it. I was able to get an early checkin at a 25% surcharge. The room I had was on the first floor, up an external victorian spiral staircase - tricky with luggage! Rooms were simply but adequately furnished and had an unstocked fridge and a kettle - only one socket for the two. The bathroom was quite elegant and functional, but badly finished. After my nap, I found the instant coffee provided was OK, but the dried milk powder was gritty and disgusting.... so that ruined the first cup, which I was drinking while sitting on the settee on the terrace just outside my room. Then the kindly maid brought me a cup of proper coffee from the kitchen with some real milk - much better. A friend arrived in the early evening and we walked to the main road to have dinner. Many of the pavements in the area were smashed to bits and had big holes in them, which made it difficult to avoid an accident when walking back after dark. The city goat-farm a few doors away was cute! Also, my pal had trouble finding anywhere to park his car nearby, as the hotel fronts onto a single track lane. I stayed two nights altogether and had 3 "breakfasts". These were OK, and taken in the fresh air beside the garden courtyard. Quite pleasant, though the open air kitchen looked like it wouldn't win too many hygiene awards. Would I stay again? Yes - good value for money and I liked its quirkiness.

Cozy place, friendly staff
Really picturesque hotel. There aren't many rooms (<20?), and they are scattered around a courtyard, walled off from the street. The room itself was fine, but even better was the courtyard area, where you could come and relax, eat, chat with other visitors and staff. Nice complimentary breakfast; snacks and drinks on hand all the time; other food can be ordered. Free wifi in rooms and in courtyard. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.

This may not be the greatest hotel in the world but the staff are generally fantastic and friendly. The breakfasts are good and the place is located in easy walking distance to main shopping areas. They have rickshaw drivers that they recommend which are available for Rs100 an hour and will take to you all the main tourist sites. They also do a lot of work to help their staff improve themselves. The only suggestion that I would have is to ask for a room that doesn't face the main courtyard area as other quest gather there and can be noisy

Excellent Choice
Excellent choice - comfortable and clean rooms set around a leafy courtyard. Very helpful staff. Quiet neighborhood yet very central. This Hotel is a winner - would definitely stay there again!

Bengaluru Garden Haven
A wonderful way to escape the honking and dirty streets of Bengaluru. The staff and owners were all wonderfully welcoming and the morning songs from the local mosque and temples is the best you can ask for for an Indian wake-up call. The garden is idyllic and if you aren't on a strict travel budget this place is affordable and comfortable.

Definitely a mid-range hotel which doesn't have the amenities of a higher end hotel (bottled water, safe, etc.). Old world European feel, but the service is warm and welcoming. A little difficult to get to so make sure you contact the hotel in advance to figure out where it is. Close to MG road and in a nice residential neighborhood.

I have been there for four weeks and I wouldn't stay at an other place in Bangalore. It is very quiet whilst located in the very centre of the city and people are very friendly. You really feel like at home. No doubt, you have to choose Casa Cottage.

Great Stay!
Great stay, great staff (vey friendly and helpful), very nice (and quiet!) rooms. You can relax and have breakfast and diner on the terrace. I was there on a business trip and Casa Cottage was a real relief from the air-conditioned, impersonal, overrated 4* hotels. Really feels like home with all the conveniences (cleaning, laundry, wifi) of a good hotel. Well located in Bangalore, nearby MG road and the busy center city. Highly commendable for short as well as longer stays! Also a great value for money.

A nice place that I can really recommend. friendly staff who can help with most things. A little nice garden with wonderful flowers where you can sit for a quiet moment. Breakfast buffet was good, there was what you needed. Clean and nice, cleaning every day.
