I liked it since it was quiet but yet within walking distance to the major attactions [depending on your interests]. The U-Bahn was very close thus making access to other area's very easy.

Great stay at Grimm Berlin Mitte. We stayed on the apartment which was big with two bedrooms, living room and kitchen. Worked great for us since we were 4 adults with one baby. Short walk to U Bahn and not far from Museumsinsel.

Hotel Grimm’s Alte Jakobstraße
Room was clean & tidy, was lacking in small extras to make stay more comfortable - no fridge in room, no bottled water (although tap water is fine to drink), glasses in room are tiny. I had mentioned in booking the stay was for my birthday & requested a room upgrade but this was not acknowledged. Parking on the streets around the hotel is free over night but parks are difficult to come by after 9pm.

First visit to Berlin
Great location, excellent room and helpful staff. Wide choice for breakfast and just a wonderful experience for my first visit to Berlin. I would have no hesitation in returning to Grimms Hotel, Berlin.

A bit dark around the area at night and ten minute walk to metro station.No facilities at the hotel ,no English TV channels ,no facilities such as tea/coffee in room.Staff wanted to charge 15 euros extra per night because we used sofa bed. One staff member Ali was helpful with printing boarding passes.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the hotel was spotlessly clean. It’s perfectly situated for trips into the centre, but also in a very quiet area. We slept really well. It was disappointing not to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We had booked a ‘superior’ room, but it was quite basic. We honestly couldn’t see what made it any different to a standard room.

It's a relatively new property, attractive and clean. The duvet is too much cover most of the time. A single top sheet would be enough in most cases..

Beautiful suite, friendly staff
Our stay at Grimms Hotel Berlin Mitte was wonderful! The staff were super friendly and gave us a free upgrade on our room so that we had a beautiful suite and a patio overlooking the street. The staff also held our luggage after we checked out so that we could go exploring for the day and come back in time to pick it up and head to the airport. It was easily the best stay on our trip. We would definitely stay here again.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb. What let it down was the lack of an English language TV programme, which most non-Germans would want, and no facility in the room for tea/coffee.

The property was a little out of the centre. Apart from that perfect. The breakfast was lovely, lots of choice. The rainfall shower was perfect after a long day walking.

* I stayed there 17 nights ... not a good idea * washroom was great * cleaning staff was great * front desk staff was not useful * bedroom was small; work desk was tiny. * mattress was hard * pillow was small * breakfast was too expensive; you can find much better at the 4-5 Cafés in the immediate vicinity. * Lobby offers coffee all day at 2.80 Euros; you will pay 1.50 Euros for better coffee in the surrounding Cafés. * little closet and little shelf space for clothes * The room lacks most amenities that you commonly find in North American hotels: no hair dryer, no mini-fridge, no in-room coffee machine, no microwave (not even in lobby), not even a "Do not disturb sign". * electricity shuts off automatically when you leave room, so you can't recharge your devices.

Very nice modern hotel with great staff!
Very nice, clean and modern hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good as well. It looked like they baked everything fresh onsite. Rooms were very quiet, I didn't hear anything from other guests which unfortunately is normal in a lot of hotels these days. I'd definitely stay again or check out the Potsdamer Platz location. This property is beautiful and clean, however, some of the staff was very rude and unhelpful which brings it down a noth. Additionally, contrary to the description that states there is A/C available, THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING which brings it down another notch. When we asked for fans and did not receive them, the staff was extremely rude, brushing us off. Overall, I'd say it's OK as the condition of the property was fine but staff needs to be improved.

Everything about this hotel was perfect. Very nice and helpful staff, a quiet environment, and nice lobby to hang out in that has a cafe feel. Everything was clean and the finishings in the rooms are very nice and modern. Breakfast was not huge spread, but there was something for everyone and everything was very fresh.

Great hotel and easy for all sights. Reception very helpful especially manager (Stephanie). Really needs to put kettles in room, this was a big issue for us. And a little bit of English tv even if it was only news channel. Otherwise well recommend.

This was my fifth stay at this hotel and I will return the next time I'm in Berlin. Nice rooms, friendly staff. Only a short walk from the Subway.

This hotel is fairly central to all amenities and tourist attractions such as check point charlie. The air con was a huge bonus, we were not expecting the weather to be so warm. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is no hot drink making facilities in the room which I would have preferred, they did leave bottled water in the room, but we were not sure if this was included in the price or not. Overall a really great hotel and the quirkyness of the fairy tales theme throughout was lovely.

The hotel was centrally located. The staff was amazing, friendly, very helpful with directions, how to take the train/bus etc. The breakfast that the hotel offers is a must, an amazing spread! The room was a good size, modern, very clean. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
