When we were first given a room, we discovered it wasn’t cleaned yet. So we returned to the front desk and were given a new room (booked a private twin bed x2). Room was clean, large and we were impressed by the nice bathroom and full kitchen (shared only with 1 other room). A very nice hostel experience. We noted that it wouldn’t be the best to book if you were looking for more of a community vibe or to mingle with fellow travellers (with booking the private rooms at least) as you don’t really come into contact with anyone else in your area/ locked off section. The sound proofing was quite bad for the private twin rooms/ area as well. We could hear everything from within our locked room (people talking in the next room, if anyone was using the bathroom down the hall etc). But overall, a pleasant stay and I would definitely consider booking this hostel in the future.

Not the best
I liked the curtains and power bar on all the beds. Rooms were spacious. The entry through the bar made me feel a bit uncomfortable as a solo female traveller. The noise from the bar downstairs carried into the rooms on the first floor. You have to pay for luggage storage if you arrive early/depart later. Staff didnt seem very friendly, for a hostel. No lounge or kitchen, therefore there isnt really a way to meet other travellers unless theyre in your dorm.

Location is great but cleanness can be improved
The location is amazing, walking distance with lots of good restaurants around. Downside is there is no common area you can chill except the bar downstairs. The carpet in the room is really dirty, bed is way too soft. But you get what you pay for. So if you're looking for a comfortable stay, it's not an ideal place for you.

Really good use of space in the apartments we stayed in. A bit hard to navigate how to get through the building to get to and from one of them( stairs, elevator, more stairs).

Good hostel very clean book it
Everything was good but the bed had a spring netting and it made noise luckily I had chosen a room with only 4 beds and there were only 3 of us in there. Everything else was cool, big bar downstairs, close to Alexanderplatz and lots of cafes.

A little loud, but it’s convienent.
So it’s a good bar scene, but don’t expect to meet tons of hostel dwellers, the bar is filled with Brit Soccer watchers. And it gets quite packed with them. Yea, I met a few people, but was not really the place to make lasting connections.

Brilliant hostel

Good base to explore from!
Clean rooms and shared bathrooms, quiet in the sleeping areas at night. Breakfast was good, and the bar downstairs was lively at night! Great location with a metro stop right in front.

Had a room in an apartment, roommates were awesome which helped but overall staff were friendly and helpful, was walking distance to most stuff, had stuff going on and knew of stuff to do. Also had great deals for guests at the bar downstairs!

I had stayed in 3 different accommodations while I was in Berlin and this was one of the best! They have a very cool bar with great food and crowd. I stayed in their private room in an apartment, it was clean and spacious. Value for money.

Awesome location and atmosphere!! This hostel is very close (walking distance) to Berlin TV tower and Alex Plaza which is one of the main train/ bus stops in Berlin.

Great place to stay
Found the staff throughout our stay as friendly and professional. Had a number of meals at the place as was great value and the Belushi bar was a great place for cheap drinks. We are fussy clean people and we were more than happy with the place. Some reviews complain about the bar noise but our room was directly above and this didnt seem a problem, only complaint was a security door near the lift and near our room that needs a soft closing mechanism as this made noise when closing.

A bit noisy but reliable.
The room smelled of really strong sanitizer when I checked in, so you know it's clean at least but it was a bit nauseating. I had everything I needed, especially since I didn't spend much time there except to sleep. There is a very active bar downstairs so it's not a quiet place at night. I used earplugs to stay asleep through the night. Other than that it was fine. Breakfast is decent and handy in the morning.

St Christophers is my favourite hostel chain, the facilities are always good, great breakfast, excellent location and I just love the big lockers and privacy curtain, Berlin was no different.

For the price this place was great! Big lockers under the beds, clean bathrooms and showers, hot water, free breakfast. The beds even have privacy curtains! The WiFi was fast too!

Great stay, centrally located
Great hostel, centrally located, with the metro just across the street. Bar and restaurant downstairs with food discounts. Free walking tour meets everyday at 10:20am. The only thing was no hot water one of the mornings of my stay, so one cold shower but nothing that ruined my trip. They also play American sports, I was able to watch some playoff baseball. I met some great people and the staff was very helpful.

Great choice for Berlin
Very well located hostel. Great vibe and very helpful staff. Highly organized and good bar below. Breakfast starts at 8AM only, no kitchen. Limited sinks for cleaning up. Elevator handy, bit small.
