"Go here! We took our 17 and 12 y/o and no one wanted to leave. The staff is the friendliest and most anticipatory you will come across. They have your table setup each day, if they hear you mention wanting to try something they will make it happen (they literally went into the jungle and picked bread fruit for us), and they had items ready for every activity we had mentioned possibly wanting to do. They gave jungle, water activities, and excursions and they are all the cheapest we have...

10/10 Excellent

"The place is awesome! We stayed here last year on our last day due to it not being far from the airport and we loved how comfortable the bed was last year so we wanted to see what the mattress brand was this year when we we stayed. Luckily we got the same exact room and solved the mystery of the most comfortable bed in Belize!!"

"The rooms are clean and recently renovated. It’s a conference center with many foreign travelers. Rooms are comfortable and we were able to get connecting rooms. The onsite restaurant servers food. They charge a 12.5% service fee for all food and beverage. This leads to slow service from some staff members. I typically tip 20% but would like have tipped 10% or less based on the service received at lunch. One exception is Denise…she was great at dinner service! Important note regarding the amenities: The property had a swim team practice in the pool when we arrived (from about 1-3pm). The hotel sells gym memberships to locals and there were at least 20 people in the gym between 5pm and 6pm. I went to the gym at 6:30am and most of the 10-12 people using the gym were not hotel guests. It’s fine, but may limit hotel guest access to equipment. We stayed at 3 other properties during this trip in Belize and this was my least favorite."

Grand Resort & Residences

"As a road warrior over decades, I have seen good and bad, but I have rarely seen the attentiveness of the staff such as here at the Grand Resort. Always pleasant but exceptionally helpful. I had an emergency shoe repair needed for my only dress pair, and it was late on a Sunday when it was identified. The staff worked out where to get glue, sent a courier, and within an hour it was repaired. Incredible! I have literally never seen anything like it. The next day my meeting ran late, and there was the hotel driver still waiting patiently after 45 minutes. Just an incredible group, and management has reason to be proud of their selection of this team and what great efforts they go to for the hotel. I don't normally take the time to write reviews, but this team, especially those at the Front Desk and with shuttle driver need special recognition. I will definitely be back, and encourage my other business associates to also make this their hotel of choice."
