"The location was in a small alpine village with stunning views. There were walks from the door and easy access to cable cars for mountain walks and lakes. The hotel was immaculate and inkeeping with local tradition. The service was excellent and staff went above and beyond, even providing us with a breakfast bag on our departure day. "We stayed there for one night prior to visiting Herrenchiemsee. It was a short drive (15 minutes) to the ferry. The hotel is very rural. Breakfast was nice. Guests are given a table number for where to sit for breakfast which I guess avoids any issues with finding a clean table. One slightly quirky thing, which we liked, was that each room had a golf club and ball to use a mini golf course in the garden. The room was very hot even with the fan on. It was a lovely hotel with a spa and plenty of hiking routes nearby. We would have preferred to have stayed in Prien an Chiemsee but most hotels had a minimum number of nights stay which this hotel didn't have. It's definitely a good choice for a short visit to that area."
