"serviva un punto di appoggio per l'imbarco al mattino presto. La stanza era adatta, spartana , con impianti non aggiornati ma funzionanti. Condizionatore ok (telecomando in due pezzi).Servizi igienici puliti ma squallidi. Il prezzo giusto per il servizio richesto. la lampadina del comodino ancora a filamento!!"
"Responsive staff. One step up from a hostel. Way too much use of room fragrance. Very basic room. Incredibly tiny shower stall. Definitely need to taxi to places. Good that a cafe was next door. "
"Our trip around Sardinia was otherwise perfect until we encountered the blonde woman at the reception desk who spoke Russian. I must say, I have rarely felt so mistreated. Her behavior was unprofessional and immature, and she urgently needs training in customer service and proper communication.
It's unfortunate that one person can so negatively impact the overall atmosphere of a hotel. I would think twice before staying here again if this is the kind of treatment to expect."

"Hotel Castello suited me so well as a single traveler. The staff were the best part for me - so nice and accommodating. My poor Italian was not a problem when I had questions for the front desk staff. They helped me to book a boat trip to La Maddalena islands. I had a room facing the road. It was cleaned every day with fresh towels as needed. Breakfast was plentiful. Golfo Aranci town and marina is a short drive away or a 15 minute easy walk. The beach behind the hotel has very soft sand. Beautiful sunsets. I found the price to be great value for Sardinia."
"We absolutely loved our week long stay at the Hotel Villa Margherita.
A beautiful family hotel in such a lovely setting, with very friendly and helpful staff. The pool, while not massive, was perfect to cool down and to keep the kids happy and was right next to the large garden area. Some days we stayed around the pool (never any problems getting a lounger) and some days we took the hire car out to explore the island (so the free car park was great).
We stayed half board and had a different, tasty, four course meal every night. The children were able to mix and match from the adults and children’s menu which meant they could try a few new things too.
The location of the hotel is great - an easy walk one way to the beach and a short stroll the other to the night market, bars and restaurants. The only niggle we had was the the beds were very firm - a mattress topper would have made all the difference to them.
Overall a lovely hotel and we’d happily return. "
"The staff was amazing. It was great to have a restaurant right there. The beach was right there, literally down the steps! It was a very very nice beach. After staying here for two nights, I felt refreshed and relaxed. I had the only single room in the place, which was up a large number of stairs, the last flight being of a small creaky wooden circular staircase. If you have trouble walking upstairs, this might not be your place. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this location."
"Absolutely beautiful hotel and the staff are so friendly and warm. Particular thanks to Alessio who helped us speak to the airport when our bags had been lost and Barbara and Damiano in the restaurant were so lovely and helped us learn some more Italian.
The rooms are big, very clean, so cool and comfortable.
The staff were fantastic and the food great. Buffet breakfast was fab, as was the buffet dinner. Lunch is a la carte and kind of expensive for lunch but Sardinia is quite expensive, so it’s all relative.
There is a path from the hotel to the beach which is beautiful and some sun loungers and parasols reserved for Hotel Marana (you just need tickets from reception) there are some nice beach bars but seem to only open in the day. There is a restaurant open in the evenings, Marinella, which is beautiful but very expensive. We were about to order the lobster tagliatelle which said €35 on the menu, but it was €35 per 100g and weighed 800g so it would have been €280 each for a plate of pasta which is a bit out of budget, ha! The cheapest bottle on the wine list is €70, lovely, but just be aware!
The hotel is peaceful and the other guests were all really nice and polite and considerate. Taxis are limited and so expensive. You can walk to Punta Marana to eat but other than that need a taxi or the train from opposite the hotel but they stop at 6.30pm. Visit Porto Rotondo. It’s fabulous. "
