A decent place to say with everything functional and without any trimmings. It’s very clean and tidy with decent, plain furnishing.
It felt secure being there as you use a code to enter the building and to enter your personal room. Nothing felt cosy but it was comfortable enough.
The bed had the right amount of firmness in a small room which had a large wall frame with a rail, hangers and hooks for your clothes. It was rather cold in the room on a typical 13°C day in April. The radiator wasn’t operating at the time. The TV worked well and showed a sharp picture and had a good range of channels.
Unfortunately, the wifi did not work.
The shower worked fine but wasn’t very powerful. It adjusted well for different temperatures. The bathroom was tiny though and it was a real challenge trying to use the sink to wash my face and not get the floor wet.
Breakfast was very plain and simple. I just had some cereal from the cereal dispenser. To top it up, I went to the bakery, behind the the pub opposite, which had some nice items on offer and very friendly staff too.
It was very useful to be able to park in the pub’s car park (opposite this B&B) for free.
It didn’t seem like there was much to do within the immediate area, other than visit the large pub, the fish and chips shop and the bakery.
All in all, I would stay at this establishment again, but only for a short period of time.
