"Arrived late at our stay and then realised that we had in fact booked for the weekend after! Disaster after a 6 hour drive and very little options. We apologised and explained the error to our host. Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. The place was immaculate, hosts are extremely friendly and everything about the trip was perfect and as described. We will certainly be returning."

"We chose this cottage due to its location in Appledore and that it's dog friendly. We stayed in Apple Tree cottage. It was a lovely surprise to see what lay behind the No 5 door. The cottage was clean and cosy. Tastefully decorated. It was well equipped with what you need for a comfortable stay. Free WiFi. TV with Net Flix etc.Nice bathroom with bath and shower. "Loved everything about the property. Loved all the walks from the property. The walk to the waterfall was amazing. We are vegetarian and we had a number of choices to choose from. The room was outstanding. Breakfast was outstanding. Every last thing was a 10 out of 10. We had no clue what we were getting into when we came. Everything blew us away. Wish we could have stayed longer than the one night. Seeing I am an American the drive to the property was out of this world. Don’t know how I made it without a scratch on the car."

"Fantastic location and a lovely flat. The skylights make it feel really light and airy, with fantastic sea views. It was exactly what we needed for our mini break in Devon. We also had a meal at their restaurant downstairs, the Flame Factory, which was wonderful. The staff were absolutely fantastic and so warm and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!"

"We found the stay very enjoyable. The hotel was in an excellent location for the local amenities and the beach. Parking was never a problem. There were plenty of places to eat and drink, both inside and al fresco. We particularly enjoyed the Thatchers cider. Everywhere was very clean and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We would be very happy to recommend your hotel to anyone we know going to Westward Ho, and would like to return one day."

"Very nice room with sea view, unfortunately very steep stairs to get there and as suffering mobility issues, not the best, although staff were not aware. Breakfast excellent, and evening meal for 7 highly commented on favourably, hot plates and food. Unfortunately a bout of food poisoning occurred overnight, although the source cannot be confirmed but suspected. Would recommend and stay again. Chair to be placed in room in September after renovations will be a bonus."
