"Hampton Inn is ALWAYS the best place to stay!! The breakfast is great, better than a roll and lukewarm coffee that you get most other places that offer "breakfast". The rooms are well appointed and clean. Have booked other hotels all over and we can ALWAYS count on Hampton to be AWESOME!! Thank you Hampton for always getting it beyond right!!"
"Much better than expected. We had a room with 2 beds. The room was huge and could have easily accommodated a side chair. Bathroom was small, but clean. Breakfast was good and had a different featured special each day."
"Wonderful boutique hotel, a stone throw away from the ocean, with just a handful of well appointed rooms (former classrooms). The property shares a larger lot with a nicer campground part of the same organization. Quiet and peaceful overall. Note however that despite the beautiful decor and finish inside the main building, sound insulation is minimal in the bedrooms. Clean and modern bathrooms. Nice common space downstairs with couches, turntable and vinyls. However, no breakfast available. No vending machines either in the main building or around the campground. A limited selection of food, snacks and beverages is available either during opening hours (daytime) at the registration office (attached to the main building) or driving to Trinidad on the main highway (approximately 5 miles South where a limited number of very good restaurants (and Murphy's, a well appointed local grocery store) are located. Access to the ocean (beach and trails along the cliffs' edges) is through a very nice State Park (Sue Meg) a short drive North of the property ($8/day access). Beautiful vistas. However, no direct access to the ocean or any beaches directly in front of the property (private properties and cliffs). Within 10 to 25 miles to great State and National Parks immediately to the North on Hwy 101."
"The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The property is dated but well maintained. My only issue was due to being a woman traveler, the doors to the room wings do not close all the way and were not locked, so anyone off the street can wander in."
"Book this hotel. Don’t let the low prices fool you. Rooms and property are very clean, and all looks new. Amenities are not in abundance at any motel 6, but the coffee machine in the lobby was great and the check-in kiosk was really cool. They are simple rooms but they are nice. Fridge and microwave and shower all works great. Bed seems new also which was really nice since having a bad back. The soap in the bathroom smells good too. All the staff I’ve seen seem pretty great, the front desk agents are very professional and competent and it’s honestly refreshing, and the housekeepers are super nice and do a great job. You won’t be disappointed."

What’s a holiday rental in Big Lagoon like?
Holiday rentals are private properties where you can stay for a few weeks, or just a few days, in Big Lagoon. Holiday rentals feature extras such as laundry facilities and kitchens so you'll have a home away from home. If you're concerned about cleanliness, a holiday rental can offer a sense of privacy away from public hotel lifts and busy concierge desks while still allowing you the excitement and enjoyment of travel. You'll also have more space in a holiday rental than in a hotel, which is another reason why a holiday rental is a popular option for family trips.
