"We stayed for 2 nights. The location was perfect for dining options and walking into Lincoln centre of town. Carparking around the back was a bonus as was having hotel lifts. Breakfast was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay but we did have just one glitch. The room air conditioner did not get cold enough for our liking. I definitely recommend this hotel"

"Lovely quaint hotel the 2nd oldest in Britain 1203 apparently, very busy and had a nice outside courtyard where there was live singing, we stayed as went to a Wedding near by but will definitely be going again, beds very comfortable and decent showers. Only downsides for us was that smoke form the courtyard wafted up into the room no fault of hotel but just an observation and Breakfast @ยฃ19 each was a little expensive we had breakfast a shot walk away which was half that and still great, plenty of choices in Grantham."

"Hotel fit for purpose.Excellent serving hours not only behind the bar but reception and restaurant.Lift making easy access to all rooms and also pet friendly which isnt often seen.Booked here again later on in the year as travelling too is perfect just off the A46. Highly recommended"

"This old hotel showed it's age and was desperately in need of a face lift. The decor in public spaces left much to be desired and the carpets in the corridors were filthy. However our room (a superior double) was clean and comfortable and well looked after each of the 3 days we were there. The staff and the food, were a different matter altogether. We had dinner for the 3 nights, being joined by family on nights 2 and 3. The food quality was very good and enjoyed by all. The staff were exceptional. Polite, friendly and accommodating. A particular mention to two of our servers Neve and Ilona who went the extra mile to ensure that we and our family had the best experience. Would I go back again? maybe, as the positives outweighed the negatives. A lick if paint and a good clean up, and yes, I would."
