These days better than a hotel room
Nice self contained apartment. Owners on site. Good comunication. Everything fine . Note there is an additional security deposit that they requested 90£

As with any short term accommodation, we require a security deposit of £90 payable via Card in person or via sms/online link as shown in our listing. We do not accept cash. Enjoy the stay; but bring robes & count the spoons
The host was warmly welcoming. The property was furnished to a high standard, with nice touches of hospitality. The space on the first-floor, is stated to be a suite. But it does not (currently) have en-suite access to the bathroom (very nice) or kitchen (also well-appointed). So the guests on the top-floor are walking though your first-floor 'suite' to access theirs. Worse, the proprietors are very officious (and one-sided, which is probably to be expected). They ask for a deposit (which is not a problem) but they took no steps to agree and verify the inventory on check-in. They intended to charge for an item but retracted the accusation, because they finally realized they had thrown it away themselves the day before. I was still charged for other things; the details of which I still strongly dispute, but have chosen to accept. Guests, in the end, MUST assume responsibility for the property whilst they are in residence. But if a provider of accommodation chooses to be as 'sharp' an operator as this, then unfortunately the customer needs to be equally sharp. Enjoy the stay, but bring a dressing gown, and count the spoons.

Hi James, Thanks for your review. We believe there is a clear misunderstanding on your end as to what a suite is and what an en-suite bathroom is. I can clearly see in our expedia room details that the Sun Suite doesn't have the en-suite bathroom option ticked. The pictures show in detail the entire layout of the suite and clearly the bathroom is next-door to the bedroom. We find your comments very mean since you were supposed to read the ad and view the photos and if you had any questions we were more than happy to answer them before your booking. Upon check-in Mario showed you around the other suite but you said you're fine. What's more you clearly blow out of proportions the gravity of the issue since in your 4 night stay the hallway on your floor was only shared for 2 nights with the guest on the other floor who only went through the hallway twice every day. Coming from a guest who left with one of our towels and urinated in the most disgusting way possible all over the toilet, floor, bin and toilet brush, we find your comment of " the proprietors are very officious (and one-sided, which is probably to be expected)" not to be only ridiculous but very officious, rude and slandering. Please don't forget that we welcome you into our home, "furnished to a high standard, with nice touches of hospitality" as you well underlined, a complete stranger to us and only have the expectation that you treat the place with respect and like your own home. It is unfortunate that it didn't go to our expectations and that you thought that your behaviour was normal but we had to make sure that our next guests find everything as nice as you did when you checked-in. We are sure your stay was great as you told us upon check-out and the 6 star rating is only a result of the charges you had to pay for the issues you caused. Wish you all the best in the future.
