"Lovely stay in a very convenient location. I arrived by plane and took a direct train to Gare du Nord, followed by a short 12 minute walk to the hotel. For my return, it was just a 12 minute walk back to Gare du Nord for the Eurostar, which made the whole journey seamless. New Hôtel Gare du Nord

"Liked: helpful staff. Accommodated requests without any fuss. Clean rooms Negatives: 1 Steps only access to the reception( about 20- 30). With luggage it is terrible walk up the stairs and no help offered for this aspect( but very helpful with other things). 2. Glass door to the toilet and the toilet is right opposite the bed. You can see the person on toilet seat. Awful and embarrassing. Suggestion for improvements: if lift cannot be installed hotel should provide the help to bring the luggage up the stairs. Change the glass door to the toilet with an opaque door."

"We got notified the property was under construction 2 days after leaving for our Italy & France vacation, leaving us limited options. Upon arrival, we found construction at the front entrance and were not warmly greeted at check-in. Reaching our room required a long walk, the elevator in our building was unreliable. Staff blamed the issue on housekeeping, but it was clear there was a larger problem. Because my husband has limited mobility following multiple back surgeries, we were concerned about his safety if the elevator failed especially being a commercial builder himself. When we entered the room, it smelled as if a wet dog had been there. I immediately contacted Expedia, and after speaking with the hotel, they agreed to refund 3 of our 4 nights if we checked out immediately. We booked another property and went to the front desk to leave, they tried to offer another room, which we declined. The next day, we discovered no refund had been issued. After contacting Expedia, we learned the hotel had gone back on its agreement. I spent much of our vacation calling daily to have the matter escalated. I finally filed a claim through the French consulate, and shortly thereafter the hotel refunded three nights as originally promised. While we eventually received the agreed-upon refund, it did not compensate for the stress, inconvenience, and valuable vacation time lost dealing with the horrific situation. We will never speak well of France to anyone that asks. It is all on them."

"This is a nice hotel in a really good location. Gare Du Nord is about a ten minute walk away and Gare Du L’est is across the road. There’s also a train entrance directly outside the hotel. I walked to the Louvre Museum in half an hour and many other locations. There’s also many restaurants and fast food places and a supermarket across the road too. It’s a good place to stay but my only small criticism is the shower and bathroom which is quite small (perhaps because I was in a single room?). The bathroom also doesn’t have enough toiletries. I always bring my own but it would be nice if they provided things like a shower cap, bars of soap, cotton wool, cotton buds etc. The staff are nice - Ashley and Jay answered my many questions and Jay recommended a great Caribbean restaurant - thank you! Tay was also friendly when I checked out. I think it’s a bit too pricey for what it is but would recommend staying here."

"Great location being by the train and major transport, even kids had fun taking the underground. If you know that going in, you know it may come with outside noise the hotel cannot control. Even still, it is charming to sleep with the windows open and hear the true sounds of Paris. Staff was great but never had any issues that needed their attention. Just a late night water, and they attended to it right away. For US people, it has an elevator so that is a huge plus! We had a wonderful stay. Some of the best pastry and bread can be found just walking distance down the road. Local good places!"
